It's a freestanding personal shade structure built on a lightweight aluminum frame. The setup is simple. About 10 seconds. Takedown is the same. Your chair goes underneath — any camp or bag-style chair.

An SPF 50 rated canopy covers you overhead. The side blind handles low-angle sun — the afternoon sun that gets under a standard umbrella and burns the side of your face. An anchor system securely holds the Bandanna® shade to whatever surface you're on: sand, turf, concrete, packed dirt. All anchors are included.

The Bandanna® shade canopy fabric is rated SPF 50 — super strong sun protection.

The side blind carries the same SPF 50 rating, adding coverage for low-angle sun — the kind that gets under a standard canopy and burns the side of your face during a long day at the beach or a double-header game.

You'll still want sunscreen. You'll need a lot less of it.

About 10 seconds. Solo. No tools. On any surface.

  1. Remove From Bag — Remove shade from carry bag.
  2. Find the Handle — Locate red disk handle.
  3. Lift The Legs — Grab red disk handle and lift up.
  4. Spread the Legs — Locate legs with red stickers and spread to make the floor flat.
  5. Open the Shade — Open shade by rotating red hand grip clockwise.
  6. Lock in Place — Advance red handgrip catch around right-side leg to lock in place.

Takedown is the same in reverse — also about 10 seconds. Most people have it dialed by the second use.

On grass or turf: Three included auger anchors screw into grass surfaces.

At a campsite: Three included stake anchors stake into the ground.

On sand or beach: Fill the three included sandbags on-site with sand. Integral tie-down cords attach to connection points on the shade unit.

On hard surfaces: Weight the sandbags with gravel, sand or gear from your bag. Integral tie-down cords attach to the shade unit's connection points.

The full system — canopy, side blind, all three auger anchors, all three stake anchors, all three sandbags, and the carry bag — fits in the included double-pocket carry bag.

Frame: Lightweight aluminum — strong enough to hold firm in wind, light enough that the whole shade system is conveniently portable. The lightweight aluminum frame maintains its geometry after hundreds of open-and-close cycles.

Canopy fabric: SPF 50 rated — selected for its powerful UV protection, breathability, and the ability to be packed and unpacked repeatedly without degrading.

Ground floor mat: Automatically unfolds during shade set up to provide a tidy and spacious ground surface for your feet and personal belongings. Automatically folds back up during shade take down for convenient storage.

These are built to outlast seasons of regular use. If something fails due to a manufacturing defect, contact us and we'll make it right.
